In an earlier post there is 4 pieces of paper cut out to look something like the picture below.
After a little filing, fitting and fussing, the end result looks like this.

Yepper, that's your's truely, welding....or should I say, trying to weld.

My youngest son, Justin is taking the pics here.

My initial thought was that this 4 piece ring assembly was going to be easily turned or dislocated.

Much to my surprise, this is not the case. It will not rotate and only rises up less than a half inch.
